Raj was driving his car and chatting on the phone with his friend Arjun. “Yes, Arjun, I’m on my way. I’ll reach the wedding on time, don’t worry,” he reassured. But just as Raj hung up the call, the car jolted and the engine suddenly died.
Raj tried to start the engine again, but nothing happened. Frustrated, he stepped out of the car and popped open the bonnet, peering inside. “I just got this car serviced! What’s wrong now?” he muttered to himself, unable to figure out the issue. He looked around, hoping for some help, but the highway was deserted. Just as he was about to lose hope, he heard the distant rumble of a motorcycle.
Isha was riding her black Bullet, enjoying the wind in her hair, when she noticed Raj standing by his car, looking distressed. She pulled over beside him, took off her helmet, and as she shook her hair free, she flashed him a warm smile.
“Hey! Do you need help?” she asked sweetly.
Raj, momentarily caught up in the beauty of her eyes, replied, “Yes, please. My car suddenly broke down. Do you know any mechanic around here?”
Isha got off her bike and glanced at the car with her keen eyes. “Mind if I take a look? If it’s nothing major, I might be able to fix it.”
“Sure, go ahead,” Raj said, stepping aside.
Isha examined the car’s engine closely, her eyes sharp and focused. Curiosity got the better of her, and she asked, “By the way, where are you headed?”
“I’m on my way to my best friend’s wedding,” Raj answered.
Isha’s eyes widened in surprise. “Is your friend’s name Arjun?” she asked.
Raj was taken aback. “How do you know?”
With a smile, Isha replied, “Because the girl your friend is marrying is my cousin. What a coincidence!”
Raj was astonished. “Wow, it really is a small world.”
Looking at the engine, Isha said, “It seems like this car needs a mechanic after all. Looks like the fuel pipe might be blocked or something more serious.”
Raj sighed, disappointed. “What should I do now? I need to get to the wedding on time.”
With a charming smile, Isha offered, “If you don’t mind, I can give you a ride. I have an extra helmet too.”
Raj felt a wave of relief. “Thank you so much, Isha. You’re a lifesaver.”
Raj grabbed his bag from the car and hopped onto the back of Isha’s Bullet. She kick-started the engine, and they sped off down the road.
As they rode, Raj and Isha started talking. “You seem to have a passion for bikes,” Raj remarked.
Smiling, Isha replied, “Yes, I love bikes. They give me a sense of freedom.”
Raj was impressed. “You even tried to fix the car. Are you a mechanic by any chance?”
Isha laughed. “No, just picked up a few things for emergencies.”
Raj chuckled too. “Good thing you did, or I would’ve been stuck there.”
Before they knew it, they had reached the wedding venue right on time. Arjun welcomed Raj and Isha with a look of surprise and delight. “How did you two end up arriving together?” he asked, confused.
Raj, with his charming smile, replied, “Long story, bro. I’ll tell you later.”
