Happy April Fool short Stories

Ayan stared at the letter in his hand. For an hour
“Meet me at 7 PM, Café Bliss. I have something to tell you. – Your Secret Admirer”
Ayan mutter to himself secret admire “huh”
He scoffed. “Hah! It ‘s April Fool’s Day. Someone’s trying too hard.” 😏 but
Still, curiosity poked at him. If this was a prank, let’s play along. After all, I wasn’t the type to back down. Any challenge.
Scene: Café Bliss – 7:05 PM
Ayan walked in, his sharp eyes scanning the café. His smirk vanished when he spotted Siya, sitting at the corner table, tapping her fingers impatiently.
His face twisted in disbelief. “No way.” it’s Siya he mutter himself
Siya glanced up and, for a split second, looked just as surprised. Then, her lips curled into a smirk. “Took you long enough, Sharma ji.” 😏
Ayan slid into the chair across from her. “If you’re my secret admirer, I’m suing the universe.”
Siya faked a gasp. “Rude. That hurts. Maybe I was just waiting for an idiot to fall for this prank.”
Ayan narrowed his eyes. “So, it is a prank?”
She shrugged, sipping her coffee. “Could be. Could not be. Why are you so disappointed?”
Ayan leaned back, arms crossed. “Please. I was expecting this nonsense. You love messing with me.” again like back day’s
Siya grinned. “Oh, you have no idea.”
Flashback: Their Never-Ending Work Fights
Siya and Ayan had been arch-nemesis since the day he joined the office. She thought he was an overconfident show-off. He thought she was a drama queen. Their work conversations were mostly:
Siya: “That’s not how you format reports!”
Ayan: “And that’s not how you mind your own business.”
Siya: “Ugh, you’re impossible.”
Ayan: “And you’re loud.”
And yet, somehow, they always ended up working together.
Back to the Present
Siya tapped the table. “So, tell me, were you excited?” tell me
Ayan scoffed. “For what? Meeting my office enemy? Yeah, I totally dreamt about this.” 😑
Siya leaned closer. “Ohh… so you really thought you had a secret admirer?”
Ayan rolled his eyes. “What’s wrong with that? I mean, I am charming.”
Siya burst out laughing. “Bro, your charm is like expired long time ago 🤣
Ayan faked an offended look. “Excuse me? My charm is fresh and top-tier.”
Siya smirked. “Tell that to the coffee machine. Even that rejects you.”
Ayan groaned. “Okay, IF you didn’t write the letter, who did?”
Siya shrugged. “I don’t know, Sharma ji. Maybe you actually have a secret admirer.”
Ayan eyed her suspiciously. “And you just happened to be sitting here?”
She bit her lip, trying to hide her smile. “Okay, maybe I wrote it.”
Ayan’s brows shot up. “Hah! Ha I knew it! But… why?”
Siya twirled a strand of her hair, suddenly looking shy. “Maybe I just wanted to see if you’d actually come.”
Ayan leaned in, curiosity taking over. “And? What did you find out?”
Siya looked at him for a moment before grinning. “That you’re a bigger fool than I thought.” 😆
Ayan groaned. “Damn it, Siya!”
She laughed, throwing a sugar packet at him. “Happy April Fool’s, Sharma ji.”
Ayan caught it, shaking his head. “You’re impossible.” siya
Siya tilted her head. “And yet, you’re still sitting here with me.”
Ayan sighed dramatically. “Maybe I’m just waiting for round two of this prank.”
Siya’s eyes twinkled. “Or maybe, you secretly don’t hate me as much as you say.”
Ayan smirked, stealing a sip of her coffee. “Maybe. But you’ll have to prank me again next April to find out.”
Siya gasped. “Did you just steal my coffee?”
Ayan grinned. “April Fool.” 😜
Siya laughed, shaking her head as their silly battle continued—only this time, with a little more warmth.
