The Worst Blind Date Ever Short Story

Scene 1: The Disaster Begins
“Bhai, ek vodka soda aur dena,” Naina told the bartender, mentally preparing for this nightmare blind date.
Her best friend, Riya, had set her up with “the perfect guy” from her office. “Trust me, you’ll love him,” she had said.
Naina did not trust her.
And the moment her date walked in, she knew she was right.
Arjun. Loud, overconfident, walking like he owned the place, and wearing sunglasses… indoors.
“Hey! You must be Naina,” he said, flashing a smug grin that deserved a slap.
Naina eyed him up and down. “And you must be lost.”
Arjun laughed. “Damn, I like you already.”
Naina sighed. This was going to be a long night.
Scene 2: The Ferris Wheel Trap
After 45 minutes of pure suffering (Arjun talking about his gym routine, his fake British accent, and his ‘exclusive’ taste in music), Naina was ready to escape.
But before she could slip away, Riya and Arjun’s friend, Kabir, grabbed them.
“Surprise! Couple’s Ferris Wheel ride!” Riya squealed.
“Yaar, tum log best ho ya sabse gande dushman?” Naina muttered.
Kabir winked. “Ab pata chalega.”
Before they could protest, they were pushed inside the Ferris wheel cabin.
The doors locked behind them.
Naina’s eyes widened. “YOU LOCKED US IN?!”
Riya waved from outside. “Kya karein, yaar? Aaj kal romance forcefully hi hota hai.”
Naina turned to Arjun. “I’m going to murder your friend.”
Arjun leaned back. “Wow, first murder, then romance? You move fast.”
She facepalmed. Kill me, God.
Scene 3: The Sarcasm Battle
As the ride started, the tension was thick.
Arjun smirked. “So, be honest. How much do you love me already?”
Naina snorted. “Oh, deeply. I dream of poisoning your coffee.”
Arjun laughed. “Dark. I like it.”
She rolled her eyes. “You like anything with a reflection of your own face.”
“Ouch.” Arjun put a hand on his chest. “That actually hurt.”
“Good. At least something is working in this date,” Naina muttered.
They sat in silence for a moment. Then, unexpectedly, Arjun turned serious.
“You know, you’re kinda fun,” he admitted.
Naina raised an eyebrow. “You mean because I haven’t pushed you off this ride?”
He chuckled. “That too. But mostly because you don’t fake it. Most girls pretend to laugh at my bad jokes.”
Naina tilted her head. “Maybe they just have worse taste than me.”
Arjun smirked. “Or maybe you just need to give me a second chance.”
As their Ferris wheel cabin reached the top, Naina looked at him, really looked at him.
He was annoying. Loud. Full of himself.
But… also weirdly entertaining.
When the ride stopped, Arjun grinned. “So, ready to run away from me now?”
Naina smirked. “Nah. Maybe just one more round.”
And just like that, their disaster date wasn’t such a disaster anymore.
